The plant-based soluble coffees mixes are available across Tesco stores
until February 2020, after which they will be sold in other retailers
across the UK.
Vegan, non-dairy
With blends of 100% Arabica coffee and certified by the Vegan Society as
suitable for people following a vegan diet, Nestlé believes the
beverages will meet a growing consumer demand for plant-based and
non-dairy products in the UK.
“Our Nescafé Gold frothy coffees bring the plant-based latte trend out
of the coffee shop and into the home,” said Neil Stephens, head, Nescafé
UK & Ireland.
“Our plant based vegan latte mixes are the latest in a long list of
innovations to bring new and exciting sensory experiences to our loyal
Nescafé consumers.”
Overseas launch
The lattes are being launched first in the UK and Ireland before being
rolled out in several markets across Asia, Europe, Latin America and
Oceania.
Coffee is one of Nestlé’s high-growth categories. The company continues to invest in this market to create more value for its brands and make a difference for consumers with high quality coffee products.
Last month its Nescafé Azera brand launched roast and ground coffee bags
in the UK and Ireland, which are the first coffee bags specially
formulated to be enjoyed as a hot or cold brew.
Last year, Nescafé entered the growing Origins arena with the launch of
its Nescafé Gold Origins range, which allow consumers to explore coffees
originating from different parts of the world.
The vegan lattes will complement the existing range of 17 Nescafé Gold
frothy coffees and are available as; Nescafé Gold Almond Latte 6x16g
(96g), Nescafé Gold Oat Latte 6x16g (96g) and Nescafé Gold Coconut Latte
6x15g (90g) which come in packs of six.
