Huacheng Biotech. Inc., is Awarded as the Management Innovation of SMEs in Hunan Province in 2020

To implement the requirement of "Strengthening the Support for SMEs Innovation" proposed by the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and further strengthen the position of SMEs as the mainstay of technological innovation, the Industry and Information Technology Department of Hunan Province promulgated the “Technical Innovation of SMEs in Hunan Province on Three-year Action Plan (2020-2022) for Breaking Zero and Multiplying Patents Inventions” on April 28, 2020, aiming to promote the breakthrough of zero patent inventions for SMEs. The number of enterprises has doubled this year, aiming to create a batch of small and medium-sized enterprises with scientific and technological innovation capabilities.

Standing out among nearly 1,000 SMEs in Hunan Province, Hunan Huacheng Biotech., Inc., won the award of “2020 Enterprise Benchmark in Invention Multiple in Hunan Province” through application and recommendation by municipal and prefectural industry and information departments and service agencies, as well as experts’ review etc., in February 2021. The declaration was publicized by Industry and Information Technology Department of Hunan Province.

Founded in 2008, Hunan Huacheng Biotech., Inc.(thereafter referred as Huacheng), is a national high-tech enterprise. For more than ten years, it has been committed to the R&D and innovation of healthy sweeteners and has continuously delivered healthy sugar-reduction solutions based on monk fruit (Luo Han Guo) extract.

In 2020, Huacheng won the project of “Hunan Natural Sweetener Engineering Technology Research Center” and achieved a historical breakthrough, i.e., the authorized invention patents in 2020 increased by 133% compared with 2019; the main patented product Monk Fruit (Luo Han Guo) Extract invention patents in 2020, and invention patents granted for other main patented products increased by 116% and 75% respectively over 2019.

At the same time, the “Strategy of Intellectual Property Right for Promotion Special Project of Hunan Province” (Intellectual Property Rights Intensive Industries Cultivation Project) and “Changsha Industrial Voluntary Cleaner Production” projects were established. In 2020, with the support of the Industry and Information Technology Department of Hunan Province, Huacheng joined the action of “Zero-breaking and Invention Multiple” for technological innovation and achieved rapid development.

In March 2020, in accordance with the requirements of the Provincial Economic and Information Technology Commission, the Provincial Department of Finance and the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Hunan HuaCheng Biotech., Inc., through application and recommendation by Industry and Information Technology Department and Provincial Finance Department of states and districts of Hunan, as well as expert’s assessment, was entitled with the name of the “2019 Small Giant Enterprise of Hunan Province”. The award was honored by Industry and Information Technology Department of Hunan Province

In May 2020, Huacheng innovated and developed two major products, Monk Fruit Sweetener  and Luo Han Guo Snow Pear, which have been listed in the “2019 Changsha Government Procurement Catalog for Two Types of Products".

On November 30, 2020, Changsha Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Changsha Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department, Changsha Municipal Science and Technology Bureau jointly announced the list of the first batch of innovative and creative products in Changsha in 2020. Mogroside/glycoside V90, table sweetener glucoside V0.1-1.0g/100g V > 1.0g/100g; monk fruit concentrated juice/glycoside V ≥0.1g/100ml and 0.5g/100ml from Huacheng were in the list.
