Huacheng Biotech's black elderberry fruit dry extract is derived from mature Sambucus nigra berries using a water-ethanol extraction process, concentrated under vacuum, and spray-dried onto a maltodextrin carrier. Standard anthocyanin content is 6% (UV-Vis), but we can adjust to customer specs. Appearance is a free-flowing violet powder with characteristic elderberry odor. It dissolves readily in water and is compatible with capsule, tablet, and powder drink blends. Key applications include dietary supplements, functional foods, and cold/flu season products. Our integrated industry chain—from berry sourcing in Eastern Europe to in-house QC laboratories—allows us to offer stable supply and competitive pricing. What is the anthocyanin content available?
Our standard black elderberry fruit dry extract is standardized to 6% anthocyanins by UV-Vis, but we can produce 10% and 15% upon request. The profile is dominated by cyanidin-3-glucoside and cyanidin-3-sambubioside.
Is the extract organic certified?
Currently, our conventional extract is not organic certified; however, we can source organic elderberries for large-volume orders. Contact us to discuss minimum order quantities and surcharge.
What certifications does this product hold?
The manufacturing facility holds FDA registration, HACCP, GMP, CE, and BRC certifications. The extract itself is supplied with a full COA confirming compliance with relevant pharmacopoeia monographs.
How is the extract stabilized for shelf life?
We spray-dry with maltodextrin as a carrier to improve flowability and slow anthocyanin degradation. Stored sealed in a cool, dry place, shelf life is 24 months. We also offer vacuum-packed options with oxygen absorbers.
