Black Elderberry Liquid Extract for Reliable Immune SKUs
A lot of finished product brands are stuck with elderberry extracts that either blow the budget or lack batch consistency. We focus on black elderberry liquid extract that hits a practical sweet spot: standardized anthocyanin levels you can count on, without the markup that comes from overprocessing or fancy packaging. The liquid form mixes easily into syrups, gummies, and shots, and because we control the extraction in-house and run a lean supply chain, the per-liter cost leaves room for your margins.
Technical Detail
The liquid extract starts from European-grown black elderberries processed within a short harvest window. Once the berries come in, we run a water-alcohol extraction that avoids excessive heat, so the native anthocyanin profile stays intact. Standardization targets 3–6% anthocyanins as measured by spectrophotometry, but we can dial that up or down depending on what your formula needs. For brands that run high-volume seasonal runs, the real savings show up in logistics. A concentrated liquid means less weight to ship per bioactive kilogram compared to juice concentrates, and our whole-chain control—from farm sourcing to extraction—strips out middlemen. You are not paying for someone else’s inventory carrying costs. The liquid ships in 25 kg jerrycans or 200 kg drums, and we can arrange smaller pilot batches if you want to test solubility in your matrix first. Stability gets a lot of attention. Elderberry anthocyanins are sensitive to pH and light, so we recommend buffered systems below pH 4.5 and opaque packaging. We include a spec sheet with every batch, along with residual solvent and heavy metal data, so your QA team does not need to run extra rounds of third-party testing.

FAQ
We standardize to 3–6% anthocyanins by spectrophotometry, but we can adjust that range if your product needs a different profile. The default matches what most dietary supplement formulators use for 5 mL daily doses.
Liquid extracts typically offer faster blending and lower processing costs in syrup- or shot-based products. You skip the rehydration step and reduce dust. Per active kilogram, the liquid may have a lower upfront cost because we do not spray-dry or freeze-dry, which saves energy and time.
Stored in a cool, dark place below 25°C, the liquid extract stays within spec for 24 months from the production date. Once opened, we suggest using it within 60 days and keeping the container airtight to avoid oxidation.
Our standard extract uses conventionally grown black elderberries, but we can source certified organic elderberries upon request. Lead times and minimum order quantities will differ, so it is best to reach out with your annual volume forecast.
The extraction uses a controlled amount of ethanol, but residual levels in the final product stay below 0.5%. We do not add synthetic preservatives. The natural acidity and low water activity help preserve the extract without extra additives.
