We produce a 10:1 equivalent by default, meaning one kilo of liquid represents the extractive from about 10 kilos of dried elderberries. Can adjust concentration slightly for large contract orders, but most buyers find 10:1 fits their label claim math.

The main levers are our integrated supply chain and membrane concentration step. We source elderberries directly from contracted growers in Eastern Europe during harvest season, bypassing intermediaries. The membrane process uses less energy than spray drying or freeze drying, so the liquid format carries lower production overhead. Packaging in 25kg drums instead of small bottles also cuts unit cost.

Our standard liquid is not organic certified, but we can route a batch through organic raw material sourcing if your volume justifies the separate production run. Lead time and minimum order would increase, and we would need a 60-day pre-order window during the growing season.

When stored in sealed drums at 15–25°C away from direct light, the product holds spec for 24 months from manufacture. The preservative system uses a low percentage of ethanol (under 2% in the finished liquid) and potassium sorbate, which resists spoilage without interfering with most supplement matrices.
